1Colored T-shirts may be worn under, not in place of, any of the above shirts. Colored t-shirts may not show under collared shirts.
2 Sandals, platform shoes, plastic shoes are not permitted.
- Students must be in compliance with dress code during school hours or they may not be permitted to participate in the day’s activities.
- If in doubt ask before wearing the item to school.
- All clothing must fit properly, be neat, clean andin good repair; clothing with holes is not permitted.
- Boys and girls must keep hair clean and neatly trimmed.
- Jewelry must not be excessive or ostentatious.
- Make-up may not be extreme or ostentatious.
- Hats are not appropriate indoors and will be confiscated.
- Sports uniforms and equipment may not be worn during school hours even when there is a game. Time will be allowed for changing before a game.
- McLean School community members may not wear clothing advocating violence, sex, or the use of drugs, including alcohol and tobacco. Symbols that demean any individual or group (racial, ethnic or religious) may NOT be displayed.
Students wearing any of the clothing below will not be allowed to participate in the day’s activities.

Students are expected to wear Concert/Game Day Dress* for all Award Assemblies, Student Performances, Concerts, and before athletic games.
